After visiting and trying out a lot of different societies and sports teams etc, I’ve realised it’s now time to choose the ones I want to do and scrap some of the others! Firstly I'm extremely chuffed that I made into the Wales URNU. This stands for the University Royal Naval Unit. With over a hundred applicants, I passed the interviews and got in along with around twenty five others. This will involve going to drill nights every Thursday and there will also be opportunities to go for weekends at see as well as joining the sports teams they have. When I get to grips with what I will be doing, Il certainly write a post dedicated to this extracurricular activity later in the year. I have also been given a zero hour’s contract at the CIA... no, it’s not the American one! I’ll be working on the bar at the Cardiff International arena as from the 12th of November. I’m looking forward to starting my job as money is running out fast. As I stated in my first post, I also tried water polo, however I’ve decided not to continue. Although it was fun and would really have helped keeping up my fitness, it would have been too intense to continue with my other commitments. So far so good, Lots to keep me busy then! That’s not forgetting my university work of course.
